The Jawahar Lal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM) is a massive city modernization scheme launched by the Govt. of India under the Ministry of Urban Development in the year 2007-08 in Delhi and got completed in the year march 2014. Under UIG of JNNURM major infrastructure development took place in the city of Delhi which was implemented by PWD , DJB , NDMC , and all MCDs.
Some of the important projects being implemented are “Laying of Interceptor sewer alongwith three major drains (Najafgarh, supplementary and Shahdara) for abatement pollution in river Yamuna in Delhi”, and a project of PWD, which are “Alignment over Barapulla Nallah Phase-II”.
There is no direct or indirect interface with the public, however public can make suggestions to this department and the same could be conveyed to the implementing agencies for taking corrective measures and redressal of public grievances, if any.
